Agricultural Involvement
We are aware that before individuals can achieve true financial independence and self-reliance, there is an urgent need to address the primary needs of the people and communities we assist.
Proper food sources and a clean water supply are at the forefront of this effort, and Tifie’s agricultural projects are directly linked to these needs.
Tifie Humanitarian has joint agricultural projects with landowners in the DRC. We are also acquiring land to not only grow crops and raise livestock, but also to build feed mills, storage silos, and warehouses for storing, shipping, and handling of essential goods. Portions of the land are also being reserved for future projects, such as fish hatcheries.
As of today we have already purchased nearly 5000 acres (2000 hectares) of prime agricultural land. We have also purchased 10 full-size tractors that are being shipped from China.
