TIFIE started a youth center in 2008 to rescue children from the streets of Kinshasa. Its five-fold mission is to provide children with adequate shelter, proper nutrition, consistent education, life skills preparation and supervision from a parental figure.  Originally the youth center provided opportunity to 19 children. Since it started, ten children have been reconnected to their extended families or placed in homes. Two siblings were adopted in Utah, U.S.A.
