Who We Are

Early in 2007 Robert Workman formed Tifie Humanitarian, an organization committed to Teaching Individuals and Families Independence through Enterprise.

Workman collaborated with Phil Malula, from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), to form a team to help Tifie Humanitarian offer the resources, assistance, and training required to help others around the world provide for themselves and their families.

Tifie believes that as we help individuals form jobs in their own areas, we ensure a brighter future by eradicating poverty and creating thriving trade and commerce. We also believe in lifting up the human spirit by supporting institutions such as orphanages, renovating and building schools, sponsoring youth activities, and encouraging other programs designed to strengthen the family and the community.

Tifie Humanitarian is dedicated to the highest standards of business ethics in all our dealings, and we expect the same from those with whom we work. We provide business partners with the highest level of expertise, make commitments with care, and live up to those commitments by taking smart risks to help our enterprises develop, which in turn enables them to spread progress in their own communities. This approach sets us apart from most institutions as we take visionary measures that will allow sustainable humanitarianism.

We are already beginning to see positive results from our work, and in February 2008, the arts and crafts industry presented Robert Workman with a Special Recognition Award at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) convention and trade show for his work with Tifie.

Currently we are involved in various projects in the DRC, such as agricultural development, clean water, handmade crafts, alternative energy programs, distribution and transportation services, and traditional humanitarian initiatives such as supporting orphanages, schools, and youth programs.
